Srushti started to get ready for her UPSC examination during her 3rd year as a student in engineering. After her graduation she started to wonder whether she could enjoy a career in engineer position. Then, she realised civil services was her passion and decided to pursue the field. Parents encouraged her to prepare for civil service and to make a career serving the public. She focused her energy on becoming an IAS officer. The process of achieving UPSC requires more effort. She prepared for UPSC subject areas while she was studying her engineering. The exam preparation took up time every single day. She prepared for the exams for engineers in less than 1 1/2 months. She stayed clear of social activities and all social media sites. She believes that focusing on her work is crucial to be able to pass the test for a government job and to be eligible for a job as a civil servant. She aimed to pass this exam on the first go and has put in lots of hard work. Every day, she reads newspapers in order to be current with the most recent news. Rajya Sabha TV, online studies and resources were of great assistance to her. IAS Srushti Deskmukh IAS Srushti Deskmukh authored a second book titled, The Answer Writing manual.
